PetSmart Veterinary Services Dublin
Their price is also reasonable. I highly recommend this practice.
I live in Hayward CA
I have 4 pets of my own and I have been fostering kitties for the past 3 years.
All my experiences with other vets near Hayward have been extremely horrible. I feel like now in days all they care about is the money and not the pets health.
One day I had an emergency and saw that the only vet available for my pet was all the way in Dublin, I decided to make the drive and ever since that day I been coming to this location and no where else !
I switch all my pets to this veterinary because of how well Dr.Lim took care of my pets , he actually cares for the pets life, he asks questions, he researches, anything that you don’t understand he shows you on his computer until you understand.
I feel like I’m able to call the office and speak to Dr.Lim if I have any questions regarding my pets (so hard to find now in days)
I fully trust this office and all the crew members
I’m so happy I found it
Thank you Dr.Lim and team ! You guys are well appreciated here 🙃
The vets took the time to explain the issues clearly, recommending blood tests and a dental cleaning. We’re so great full for their attention to detail!
We proceeded with the dental cleaning and the results have been fantastic. Lucky’s breath got a lot better, and he’s much more comfortable with tooth brushing. It’s evident his quality of life has improved significantly.
Our ten years old miniature s. was diagnosed with diabetes by Dr. Lim a couple of months ago, he was very thorough in explaining EVERYTHING on the blood test and results. I mean we literally spend over 10 mins discussing the test results, with him. We have tried many different clinics and veterinary in the Eastbay and no one comes close to the caring, detail and quality of care from Dr. Lim. We also took ultra sound of Katy’s pancreas given she was having a pancreatitis episode and Dr. Lim not only showed us the ultrasound, he also went on the web to search and show us what normal and abnormal conditions are. Hence, helping to educate us in the process.
Today, we took Katy in to see Dr. Park as she specialized in dental work. While we have been doing daily brushing, Katy has gotten to the point where she developed really bad periodontist. Dr. Park told us today broke her records as she had to remove 25 of Katy’s 40 teeth. When we pick up Katy, Dr. Park also used over 10 mins to walk us through each x ray and explained which tooth was extracted and which ones she was able to save and why. This level of attention, passion, and love for Katy is just amazing and we felt confident that Katy will be in much better health moving forward.
While it’s not appropriate for me to provide pricing information, what I can tell you is that besides the care, passion, attention that both Dr. Lim and Dr. Park have, they will never over charge or suggest for treatment or medication that is not needed. Most of the other vets we have seen will only explain things to us in two mins, show you a huge estimate and be gone. Dr. Lim and Dr. Park really cares about Katy and us as Katy’s family members. They charge much more reasonable than other clinics and I never felt that they were just there to earn money.
If you want this level of service and care. Give them a try and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
I now prefer to drive 30 minutes to get to this Veterinary clinic and get my dog in the best hands rather than driving 10 minutes and getting frustrated and feeling like I was used as a piggy bank with my last vets. Not only that, getting an appointment was super frustrating, too, because they would offer you 2 or 3 weeks to get an appointment. Even if your dog is sick, they wouldn't take your dog in; if your dog gets sick, forget it, they would send you to the emergency room, and we all know how expensive that is. They don't care much.
Dr. Park and Dr. Lim had treated my dog before, back about 2 years ago in Hayward, but then they moved from that office and my dog was not happy after that since I'm sure that my dog had a really good connection with Dr. Park.
About a month ago, my dog got ill, and of course, my last vet office wouldn't take him in. I was very stressed trying to find a place that he could be taken in right away.
I got a referral from someone to call Petsmart in Dublin because they were flexible, etc.
At the point of seeing my dog sick, I didn't care who was able to get some meds in him.
I called this place, and within 1 hour, I was getting an appointment, and he was treated right away.
My surprise was that Dr. Lim and Dr. Park are there now!!
I couldn't be happier, and my dog was very happy too. Even the assistants are amazing.
Marianne, thank you! Even though my dog, Panda, sometimes doesn't say hi to you. Lol!
I recommend this place 100% because the doctors and staff that are there now.
They are flexible with appointments and have reasonable prices. I don't feel like my dog is used as a piggy bank, honestly. (We know some places do.)
Thank you, Dr. Lim, Dr. Park, and staff.

Frequently asked questions
Yes, PetSmart Veterinary Services hospitals are located inside select PetSmart stores. These clinics provide comprehensive care for pets ranging from wellness checks to vaccines and select hospitals offer urgent care treatment including infections, coughing, or vomiting. Contact your local PetSmart to confirm the availability of specific services.
PetSmart Veterinary Services hospitals provide a variety of vaccines for both dogs and cats, including vaccines for rabies, distemper, parvovirus, and more. However, services may vary by location, so it’s best to contact your local PetSmart to confirm their current offerings. Please note some PetSmart Veterinary Services urgent care locations don’t offer vaccinations.
In general, dog vaccines can be divided into two categories: core vaccines and non-core vaccines.
Core vaccines are those that every dog should receive, regardless of lifestyle or location. These include:
- Rabies: Required by law in most areas due to its potential to infect humans.
- Distemper: Protects against a highly contagious and often deadly disease.
- Parvovirus: Protects against a very serious, highly contagious viral illness.
- Adenovirus (Hepatitis): Protects against a virus that causes liver disease.
Non-core vaccines are administered depending on the dog’s exposure risk. These may include vaccines for diseases such as:
- Bordetella Bronchiseptica (kennel cough)
- Borrelia Burgdorferi (Lyme disease)
- Leptospira bacteria (Leptospirosis)
- Canine influenza (Dog Flu)
- Parainfluenza
- Canine Coronavirus
The frequency of vaccinations can also depend on several factors such as the dog’s age, medical history, lifestyle, and habits. Puppies typically receive a series of vaccines starting at 6-8 weeks of age and continuing every 2-4 weeks until they are at least 16 weeks old. Adult dogs might receive certain vaccines annually, while others might be given every 3 years or longer. Always consult with a veterinarian about the best vaccination schedule for your specific dog, as they can provide the most personalized and accurate advice.
For additional details about dog vaccine schedules, please review our Puppy Vaccine Guide or this puppy vaccine short from Dr. Hodges, DVM, of PetSmart Veterinary Services.
- Grooming: To maintain a safe, comfortable environment, we require all pets to be current on their rabies vaccinations and to wait at least 48 hours after any vaccinations before checking in. Proof of rabies vaccination in the form of paperwork is required. The waiting period helps to ensure your pet isn’t sore at the injection site, which can cause irritability or lethargy. This waiting period also is to prevent stressing a pet who may be experiencing an unexpected allergic reaction from a vaccine/vaccination. Puppies and kittens between 8 weeks and 4 months of age (3 months in Indiana) may receive services in the salon without vaccinations. In New York City, 6-month Bordetella and DHPP with Adenovirus are also required. In Iowa, DPP with Adenovirus is required. In Connecticut, proof of town license is required. Please note: All pets must be in good health prior to receiving any grooming services.
- PetsHotel & Doggie Day Camp: Vaccinations must be administered at least 48 hours prior to arrival under the guidance of a licensed veterinarian. However, we prefer vaccinations be administered 10-14 days before check-in to ensure maximum efficiency. Written proof is required. You must also show proof of your pet meeting state and local pet boarding vaccination requirements. Please check with your local PetSmart to verify/confirm your local requirements. For cat PetsHotel guests to stay, we also require FVRCP.
- DPP with Adenovirus (Distemper, Parvovirus & Parainfluenza) 1 or 3-yr. vaccine required
- Bordetella Required every 6 months (or as required under the applicable law of your jurisdiction or residence) and at least 48 hours prior to check-in to ensure maximum efficiency and protection against Kennel Cough. Please note that many veterinarians administer this vaccine only by request.
- FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus & Panleukopenia) (for cats) 1 or 3-yr. vaccine required
- Rabies 1 or 3-yr. vaccine required
- Canine Influenza (for dogs) Not required, but highly recommended to help protect against the Canine Influenza respiratory illness. Consult your veterinarian.
- Leptospirosis Not required, but highly recommended to help protect against the Leptospirosis infection. Consult your veterinarian.
Fleas & Ticks In addition to vaccinations, all pets should be flea and tick free. Overnight and Day Camp guests with signs of fleas and/or ticks will not be permitted to check-in at PetsHotel.
